Alexander speargun handles are sand-cast, not die cast, from a marine grade aluminum alloy, then heat-treated for strength. They are government-spec HARD anodized for maximum corrosion and scratch resistance and are available in either black or dark blue. The bottom of the trigger guard incorporates a 1/4 inch wide track that takes a sliding trigger, if desired, for use on rear mechanism guns, and the flat mounting flange makes installation on wood guns a simple process.
